Well I haven't written any journal entries for quite some time so I thought an update was in order.

It is now summer break baby! I'm mostly excited now though I still find it a little scary. I'm now technically a senior, next year will be my last year of high school O_O It's pretty intimidating. Plus next year I'll be starting the teaching professions academy, which means I'll be going into classrooms and actually getting teaching experience which I'm psyched for but also kind of scared. And yes, that's right, I do intend to become a teacher I want to teach at the high school level and I'm leaning towards being an english teacher, though I'm still considering art or math.

Other stuff coming up is the ACT of course. I need to start studying for that I'm not too worried but I need to be prepared so that I do well. This summer also means college visits and trying to decided where I want to go for sure, though I figure I'll be going to Ohio University. I've also been looking at scholarship stuff because I need teh moneys.

Hmmmm, what else? My goal for the summer is to get a lot done and try a lot of new things, so we'll see how that goes.

Also, I'm experimenting with my art style some more. I'm thinking I'm going to leave a lot of the manga style stuff behind, at least for a little while. I still love drawing chibis and such but actual developed characters never seem quite right when I try to make them manga style, it feels very over worked. I think at this point I'm going to work on just drawing in a way more natural to me, though I will say I'm also experimenting with a more american coimic style. I'm really enjoying that, I've been on an absolute x-men kick lately so expect a lot of fan art and as dorky as it sounds, maybe a fan comic. I think it'd be good to get some practice working on comics.
